Sheltering team in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent –Aleppo branch finished rehabilitating Training Department Building in AlHamdaniya area, which targeted 50 families including 300 individuals. The rehabilitation process involved fixing handrails to protect residing children from falling dawn.
It is important to give information about the principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and to spread the Humanitarian International Law which Geneva Conventions represent its deep basic starting with the volunteers and ending with the whole local community. In March, SARC Homs held three workshops on the principles of the Humanitarian International Law. 106 volunteers of SARC Homs branch attended these workshops, that lasted for three sequence weeks.
The child, M.A. was born with scoliosis. Three surgeries were operated on his spinal column at several hospitals. M.A. periodically visits SARC –Aleppo medical point in Aleppo University Camp where a qualified staff changes the wound dressing on his external fixation. M.A. suffers also from a war injury is his leg. Since the beginning of 2015, he has kept visiting SARC medical point in Aleppo University Camp where a qualified staff changes his wound dressing periodically. SARC first aid teams helped him walk again within two months and a half.
On April 16th the SARC’s mobile health care team accompanied with the ICRC delegation had been to AlZakim village on a checking mission. The team check ed the work of the health care team and the services provided to the beneficiaries in the countryside. 222 patients were treated in the three clinics. Health care team continues its regular visits to reach more areas in the countryside and to help children and women suffering from cold weather problems, synchronizing with the liver diseases. Health care team along with field intervention team in SARC’s -Aleppo branch passed Bustan Al-Qasr – Al-Masharqa Humanitarian Crossing Points to deliver 600 hemodialysis sessions’ materials and their special equipment to the eastern part of Aleppo city. The mentioned materials were supported by World Health Organization (WHO) and delivered to Al-Ihsan Charity Hemodialysis Center in Al-Ma’adi.
